Flexible Architecture Coping with Traffic Bursts with Ease

Horizontal Expansion of Web Servers
When there comes a surging growth of accessing users, start a horizontal expansion of front web servers;
IDX CLOUD Server Load Balancer supports multi-server configuration;
The Load Balancer will first conduct a health check over the web servers and then distribute accessing users to the web servers that are in good working condition;
The Load Balancer providers users with the space to select from a range of information traffic capacity options (25Mbps, 200Mbps, 1Gbps) in line with its specifications;

 Web Server Replication
Existing virtual servers (web servers) can be replicated with the cloning function that the IDX CLOUD platform can offer;
The replication of virtual servers can be achieved through a control panel (GUI) or an API;
All settings and statuses of the original servers can be copied to the new virtual servers added later on;

Use multiple load balancers to stabilize and process traffic burst;
As access volume keeps growing, you would probably need to expand load balancers, instead of expanding Web servers only. The IDX CLOUD CHINA supports multi-balancer deployment arrangements;
Use an external DNS overall load balancing mechanism to distribute access traffic to load balancers and thereby achieve stabilized process of large access traffic;
To ensure an easy increase/decrease of load balancers, it’s necessary to let load balancers work in a safe network address translation mode (source IP address translation);
The session information held by load balancers cannot be assigned to a particular web server. If you want to use session maintenance function, you’d have to do it at server end;
