Today is Grain Rain Day. Quietly comes the last solar term in spring. As described in an ancient poem, “Flowers fade, stream running, far away spring flying”, people couldn’t help but feel the sorrow for the loss of another spring. But good news keeps coming, too. The honors fell on SDS IDX JinQiao Data Center in a row, adding more cheerfulness and delight to the spring air of 2017. 

After receiving ‘Excellent Chinese Data Center’ award in the Breakthrough & Remold: 2017 Data Center Facility Forum on March 28th, the SDS IDX JinQiao Data Center received another industrial award last week. On April 12th, 2017, Beijing, in the 7th China Data Center Industry Conference (DCIC2017: Open and Integration, Shared Ecosystem), SDS IDX JinQiao Data Center proudly received ‘Data Center of the Year 2016-2017(Middle-sized)’ award.

The DCIC is one of the most influential meetings in Chinese data center industry. It is a grand industrial gathering sponsored by China IDC Alliance. Mr. Fu Boyan, Chairman of DCIC, presided at the conference and Mr. Li Kai, the former Vice Director of China State Information Center and the Vice President of China Information Industry Association, delivered an opening speech. In the same evening, the DCIC 2017 Award Ceremony was held in honor of the elites striving for the development of Chinese data center industry in the year of 2016-2017.

As China keeps on restructuring its information industry, the new-generation internet infrastructures, represented by Cloud computing and data center facilities, made a series of breakthroughs in their road of development. In 2016, the Chinese data center market continued growing, with its total value reached RMB 140.23 billion, and, as estimated, even to RMB 170 billion in 2018.
