In 2019, to many organizations, uploading itself to a Cloud is no longer a topic for small talk. The Cloud technology has already become a booster propelling the development of digital transformation and business innovation of all enterprises. It is recognized that, compared with public Clouds, the private Cloud offers more options in data security, flexibility, performance and other functional areas. Having Openstack, an open source solution, as technical foundation, the private Clouds can be an even more preferable choice to business organizations for its well-controllable data security, comparatively lower cost, zero manufacturer restrictions (as an open technology), booming global community, the flexibility coming with modularized design, and other superiorities. As a matter of fact, the Openstack has already become the technical standards of all private Clouds.
Being an open platform, however, the Openstack is not yet a fully matured product. There are still many technical barriers, e.g. too many components, difficult to deploy, difficult for O&M works, and yet to be clearly defined platform expertise, stopping enterprises from embracing the technology enthusiastically. This Symposium is dedicated to helping enterprises master the Openstack and subsequently focus on their main business operations, and showing them a new way of solving problems. The presentation was warmly received by all attendees.

It is the first one in the industry that launched a pay-per-use service product, Openstack as a Service. The Rackspace Forrester Private Cloud Solution has been ranked as a leading product by independent appraisals. In a strategic cooperative partner relationship, Rackspace and SDS are committed to providing enterprise users with Openstack-based and VMware-based hosted private Clouds and other options and, subsequently, helping them to achieve sustainable IT operation. It is important to enterprise users in that it will free them from all the troubles they have to go through when building a DIY private Cloud, migrating to the Cloud, and maintaining on-going management of the Cloud. In Short, SDS offers a one-stop solution for all those troubles.
Foreseeing the coming of the era of multi-Clouds, SDS initiated independent R&D projects to develop a Cloud Management Platform that could help customers put their private Clouds, public Clouds and all other Clouds under a unified management. Or, put it in another way, it will offer our users with a great easiness to build a hybrid Cloud environment.
